The aim of the Cub Scout section is to encourage the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of the member of Cub Scouts, integrated as part of the overall training scheme.

The training scheme consists of three progressive stages combined with the possibility of earning proficiency badges. All cubs are required to complete the initial test known as the cubs scout badge. Another badge known as the link badge need to be completed by the Cub Scout as part of prerequisite before going into the scout troop.

A boy or a girl becomes a Cub Scout by investiture, during which he or she makes the Cub Scout Promise.

To become a Cub Scout, a boy or a girl must at least 7 years old and should leave the Cub Scout Section at the age of 12.

Before being invested, he or she must pass the requirement of the Scout Badge. This test must be taken within three months of admission.

After investiture as a Cub Scout, he or she proceeds to qualify for the Progress Badges as follows:

1. 1st Year - The Bronze Arrow

2. 2nd Year - The Silver Arrow

3. 3rd Year - The Gold Arrow

He or she may also qualify for proficiency badges after gaining the Silver Arrow.
